Well Hello...
Seems I have lost my readers .. LOL it is okay ..because this is really an exercise for myself .. always has been to look back in a year and see exactly how far I have come .. thank you xanga ..
I started orientation at work and my head is about to explode LOL . but it seems to me to be a nice company to work for .. decent benefits, nice people, nice management .. good training .. but a high turnover because I do not think it is a job for most people .. time will tell . Right now I am happy to be there .. and am looking forward to when the house I am going to work in opens ..:) meanwhile 12 hour training days next week .. woo hooo ..
The heat has gotten very oppressive here and its awful . we are not using AC this year .. I have swamp coolers .. and fans and the backyard in the late afternoon becomes cool and I am putting the kiddie pool up LOL .. not kidding ..lots of cold showers .. I wish I could say I am not using them because of soley environmental reasons .. but LIPA is a killer .. the electric went up 100 in a month from just using fans .. no hope for AC now LOL .. but hey .. its not the worst thing in the world .. whats worse is we have brown outs in the afternoon .. so I just laid on my bed and embraced each cool breeze that came in the window .. and fell asleep .. I was pooped .. LOL I woke up in a puddle of sweat which is the Grossest .. of gross .. but you know through it all I know how blessed I am .. and I think of all the people in the world who have no nothing in this weather ..and our soldiers overseas who are covered from head to toe in uniform and gear .. to me it is unimaginable .. it also reminds me of growing up ... we never had air conditioning .. we had one swamp cooler .. LOL .. we survived

I've lost my readers too. I think everyone is outside. Weather in CT is just as offensive!!! I hear you on the LIPA. Luckily Ct Illuminating et al haven't reached the point you all have. Pop density is not as bad. If it browned out here I"d head for the beach on my bicycle because everyone else wd b headed there by car. Swimming in the Sound. Gotta love it.
You have not lost me. What is this job you have taken? I do not like that kind of heat. I use a wall banger I think that is what they call a small ac built into the wall. It cuts the worst of the heat. I gave away my hot tub I used to keep it full of cold water in the Summer I may have to get a kiddies pool. I have cut my electric bill in half. Judi
